"Houston's prolific billboards are so ridiculous that one is attached to a house in Afton Oaks because it faces 610...and the owners apparently have no civic grounding. This is even a "nice" neighborhood! Good grief!"

I was raised in Houston but now live in Austin. One of my favorite - and the most hilarious - sights as I come back into Houston are the billboards advertising paternity testing ("Who's the father?") and oh-so-classy laser hair removal (713-R-U-HAIRY). Love it. What do you do if you need these services in Austin? Ask a friend? Look in a PHONE BOOK?? C'mon..... If I visit Houston and suddenly realize the legs are a bit unkept (or the hubby's feeling insecure - let's hope not), I know just who to call. No searching required - the number's burned in my brain. And when I see those awesome, unintentionally hilarious billboards as I zoom into town along I-10, I know I'm home.
